Son Receives Surprise Email From His Father, Two Years After His Dad’s Death

A son received a shock email from his father, two years after he died. Posting on a Reddit, a man going by the username Beersie_McSlurrp, said: “I received an email from my dad today. He died two years ago”. The man’s father reportedly used a site called FutureMe, which lets users schedule emails to be sent on a chosen day in the future.

The letter tells the son that his father loved him and was proud of him. While the man said that the letter was too personal to share in its entirety, he did make the first few paragraphs public. The letter starts:
“Hello son, I am talking to you from the grave, woooo. I always said I will come back and haunt you.
"Seriously, by the time you read this, I will have passed on. Hopefully by now you have adjusted well enough to life without the old man and you have managed to help your mother adjust.
"I have complete confidence you will be taking just as good care of her as I did.
"I have a few thoughts to share with you and a few insights which we never got around to discussing in the last few months where I was still coherent. (I’m imagining the morphine will have turned me into a bit of a vegetable. Hopefully I entertained you with some decent hallucinations or jobber jabber.)
"The first thing I want to say is just how proud I am…”
The rest of the letter has been kept private, but the son said that it was ‘really nice to receive so long after he passed’.
